CESL Workshop Series

CESL is excited to provide continuing education in Second Life to professional counselors and counselor educators. Through the generosity of colleagues in Second Life we have put together a schedule of workshops for the coming year.

Workshops will be 1/2 day events with the potential for group follow-up. Attendees should have voice capability. Attendance will be held to 25 maximum

- Becoming a Pro in Second Life - Debra London, MEd - December 9 and 16, 2011 (10 AM - 1 PM EST)




- Play Therapy - Dr. Julie Robinson & Dr. Jill Packman - To be rescheduled

A one day four hour play therapy training workshop is being held in the Second Life virtual world on January 27, 2012 from 10 am to 2 pm (EST) at the Counselor Education in Second Life center (SLURL Tranquil 180, 170, 30).  The Second Life environment will allow attendees to be part of the workshop with their avatar through the convenience of their desktop computer. Participants will learn the skills of child-centered play therapy during the first three hours and in the last hour participants will be given the opportunity to receive live supervision while playing “inworld” with a child avatar.
